If the robots decide to form a supergroup, this is how it’ll look (at least until someone invents a robot bassist. Adam Clayton doesn’t count.)

On drums: P.E.A.R.T.
On lead guitar: Crazy J
On rhythm guitar: Guitarbot
On piano: WaBot
On ukulele: A mess of Lego I’ll call Ukulele bot
On trumpet: This sharp looking fella’
On flute: WF-4R
On turntables: DJ I Robot

And presenting the vocal stylings of SDR-4X with help from the creepiest headless mouth and nose you’re ever likely to see or hear, ladies and gentlemen, I give you KTR-ver.3

Come a-Hellin’  –  listen[mp3]

I haven’t recorded anything for a while, in part because I’ve been busy with Gert. But the Songfight title Come a-Hellin grabbed my attention, and a week later here I sit with a new song.

I intended this track to be mostly acoustic, maybe something like Doreen, but it lacked punch until I added the electric guitars. I also didn’t have Chris’s Taylor, and getting a decent tone from either of my Yamahas is a black art I haven’t mastered.

Of all the Scandanavian dance bands featured in the Dance Band Bonanza and the far more thorough Svenske danseband pages, Gluntan is the only one I could find who are still performing and offering MP3s for download

There are no samples of Gert Jonnys music (nor any from their latest incarnation as Freddy’s orkester. Though without Gert, I doubt they’re even half the band.) But I’ve got the next best thing: the definitive collection of Gert Jonnys pictures.

All 50 of the 50 worst hairstyles of all time deserved to make the list. Vanilla Ice even deserved to make it two times. But Phil Spector was shut out, and that doesn’t seem right. Kris didn’t make the list either, though that’s probably because she can’t pick a style and go with it. (And to celebrate his crowning atop the list, here’s a larger version of the Glorious Spinning Donald.)

Crossroads  –  listen[mp3]
I remixed this track after sending it to the Crossroads Songfight! Along with incorporating some of the feedback from the fine folks over there, I had to redo the snare drum because as Kevin pointed out, it sounded like I was beating on paper. Check out the fight (especially MaxTheCat and Loyalty Day.)

A couple of notes:
- I played the guitar solo on acoustic and electric for extra beef.
- I don’t own a Ludwig 6.5″ snare. The new snare track is the old one run through Drumagog and BFD.

On My Feet Again  –  listen[mp3]

Check out the Feet Songfight! This song is in it… A slightly-muddier, slighty-messier version, but there you go.

NOTE: This song is on Waking Up In August, remixed and properly mastered.

One Beautiful Summer  –  listen[mp3]

I wrote this song for the fantastic One Beautiful Summer Songfight! 6 or 7 of the 10 tracks are solid. Thinking about summer brings out the best in people!

NOTE: This song is on Waking Up In August, remixed and properly mastered.

I Meant To Remember  –  listen[mp3]

This mix is slightly different than the one on Songfight. I tamed the big 200Hz G bass-note, so it should sound better in the car.

A couple of points:

NOTE: This song is on Waking Up In August, remixed and properly mastered.
